Christopher Nolan reinvents the Homeric legend as a colossal origin-myth story of postwar disillusion, an epic ordeal of anguish witnessed by the dead and presided over by capricious deities who participate on almost equal terms with the humans. It speaks to the generational pain of PTSD; plenty of soldiers come home in person after any war promptly enough, but arriving back to their prewar state emotionally or spiritually can take years or decades and may never happen at all. The invisible odyssey of anguish is punctuated by flashback episodes, hallucinations, confrontations with the arbitrary gods of dysfunction. And all the time the spouses and children cannot move on with their lives.

This is a film with thrilling ambition, boldness, seriousness, generosity and flair. There are some broad-brush moments in the dialogue, yes, but even these are applied with a muscular flourish. It has gasp-inducing, Imax-sized landscapes of loneliness shot by cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema – who, incidentally, avoids the sea’s traditional cliched colour – and full-tilt battle sequences and fight scenes accompanied by the throbbing and thrumming of drums.

The friend who helps you clean your room. Those who are kind to those who can do nothing for them. Messy folks who repeatedly get it wrong but never stop trying to get it right anyway. Kindred spirits. Loud laughers. Pals who make the grocery store fun. Loved ones who get as excited about your success as you do. The person you feel comfortable crying in front of. Sing-in-the-car friends. People who text you to look at the moon.

I am 100% the friend who will text you to look at the moon or the meteor shower or the aurora.

From Types Of People I Admire The Most:

Someone who isn’t afraid to just be human. The friend who commits to the bit, even if it is well past its expiration date. People who accept that their ducks will always be in a bit of a zig-zag formation. Relentlessly creative folks. Daydreamers. Awkward silence embracers.

Teachers who believed there was potential within you, even when you were convinced you would always be a lost cause. The internet friend who showed you that your art does matter, and it’s needed. The mentor who became the older sister you never had. The ex-partner who showed you there are some types of people you’re only meant to love from afar. The neighbors who became family. The family members who became friends.

Dat was het dan. Uw peuken waren al onbetaalbaar, en als u ze toch betaald had mocht u ze nergens meer roken. Of u importeerde ze, lekker goedkoop. Maar ook die laatste sluiproute naar een nog enigszins billijk geprijsd pakkie peuken wordt nu ontmanteld. De Douane gaat inzetten op een breed offensief tegen tabakssmokkel: "De smokkel van tabaksproducten is naast cannabis een vast verdienmodel van criminelen geworden. Daarnaast zien we de smokkelmethoden steeds veranderen. Het gaat zowel bij cannabis als tabaksproducten steeds meer om grensoverstijgende ondermijnende criminaliteit." Zo blijft er niks van de jeu over en rest de roker zuigen op suikervrije lolly's, knabbelen aan ongezouten pinda's of bietsen bij de anti-Israël lobby. Pff... zin in een troostpeuk nu.

The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has urged all organizations running SharePoint to harden their defenses after the disclosure of actively exploited vulnerabilities. The warning applies to those running any supported version of SharePoint Server on-prem, with three vulnerabilities of particular interest cited. A spoofing bug, CVE-2026-32201 (6.5), was the first to be mentioned. Microsoft disclosed it in March and CISA confirmed it was being actively exploited in June. Additionally, CISA appears concerned by CVE-2026-45659 (8.8) – a remote code execution (RCE) flaw made public in June and confirmed as being actively used in attacks last week after Microsoft said exploitation was "less likely." The most recent of the three, CVE-2026-56164 (5.3), a privilege escalation flaw, was one of the 622 bugs that featured in this month's record Patch Tuesday. CISA also picked out two more critical bugs, both from the latest Patch Tuesday, as ones that could potentially complicate SharePoint security further. Neither CVE-2026-55040 (9.1) nor CVE-2026-58644 (9.8) is being actively exploited to date, although Microsoft has attached the "Exploitation More Likely" label to both. CISA said the three exploited vulnerabilities are associated with post-exploitation activity, including the theft of Internet Information Services (IIS) machine keys and deserialization techniques, both in an effort to gain persistence and deploy malware. The agency did not offer any more detail about what led it to issue the warning, but went on to encourage defenders to review an alert it published in August 2025, which similarly urged organizations to harden SharePoint from "ToolShell" attacks. CISA said attackers were chaining together CVE-2025-49706 (6.5) and CVE-2025-49704 (8.8) to break into SharePoint Servers and, in some cases, deploy Warlock ransomware. It did not go as far as attributing the activity referenced in either SharePoint advisory to any group or country, although Microsoft said as far back as July 2025 that ToolShell vulnerabilities were being exploited by Chinese nation-state crews. Applying Microsoft's latest security patches and verifying that Antimalware Scan Interface (AMSI) integration is enabled for each SharePoint web application are among the recommended hardening measures. CISA also advised defenders to go threat hunting for signs of intrusion before rotating IIS keys to avoid exposing SharePoint to the web unless it's necessary and block external access to SharePoint Central Administration. As is the case with any potential intrusion, CISA encouraged organizations to implement robust, tailored logging that can detect potential exploits. ®
