Trump also took to Truth Social today to claim that there were “great reviews” of his address to the nation on Thursday – where he repeated baseless claims undermining the electoral integrity of the 2020 election, and the safety of the election process at large in the US.
During his speech, Trump also tried to unveil new information – with scant evidence – that China’s interfered in the race that he lost to Joe Biden. This despite assessments from intelligence officials that no foreign actor, including China, attempted to alter any technical aspect of the 2020 voting process.

BRUSSEL (ANP) - De Europese Unie heeft Israël opnieuw opgeroepen af te zien van de uitbreiding van nederzettingen op de Westelijke Jordaanoever. Dat meldt de diplomatieke dienst van de EU (EEAS).
Eerder deze week keurde Israël een budget van omgerekend bijna 375 miljoen euro goed voor de oprichting van 34 nieuwe nederzettingen op de Westelijke Jordaanoever. De Verenigde Naties, Palestijnen en de meeste landen beschouwen de nederzettingen als illegaal.
De EU noemt het extra geld een zorgwekkende ontwikkeling. Dit leidt volgens haar onder meer tot "een toenemende fragmentatie en isolatie van Palestijnse gemeenschappen, waardoor zij een groter risico lopen op schendingen van mensenrechten."
De VN meldden vorige maand dat het geweld door Israëlische kolonisten op de Westoever dit jaar een recordniveau heeft bereikt. Er zijn dit jaar al meer dan duizend aanvallen geregistreerd.
Nog geen dag nadat hij gewond raakte bij een katapultsprong op de Zwarte Cross is stuntman Jim van Nes uit Heerjansdam weer terug op het festivalterrein in Lichtenvoorde. The Financial Times (paywalled) reports that Apple has targeted around 40 former employees with legal preservation letters, acting on its belief that the alleged misappropriation of confidential information may extend beyond the individuals named in its original complaint.
The development follows Apple's lawsuit filed last week against OpenAI, in which the company alleges a coordinated effort to obtain confidential information relating to its hardware engineering and product development. Apple claims OpenAI recruited key engineers, including former Apple executives Tang Tan and Chang Liu, and benefited from proprietary designs, manufacturing processes, and other trade secrets. Tan is OpenAI's Chief Hardware Officer and a 24-year Apple veteran who led product design, while Liu is on the hardware team at OpenAI after working as a senior system electrical engineer at Apple.
