AMSTERDAM (ANP) - Onlinesupermarkt Picnic bezorgt vrijdag vanwege de hitte alleen 's ochtends en 's avonds. Tussen 13.00 en 18.00 uur is er geen bezorging.
"Door 's ochtends en 's avonds wel te bezorgen, voorkomen we dat heel veel klanten naar de supermarkt moeten, maar zorgen we er tegelijk voor dat de bezorgers veilig kunnen werken", laat een woordvoerder weten.
Het bedrijf stelde eerder al andere hittemaatregelen in voor de bezorgers. Zo zijn er onder meer extra pauzes tussen de ritjes ingelast voor de bezorgers, die ook een pet, zonnebril, bidon en zonnebrandcrème meekrijgen. "Schorten hoeven niet te worden gedragen. Er zijn extra ijsjes en koud drinken aanwezig op de hub", aldus de woordvoerder.
