WÜRZBURG (ANP/DPA) - Een man heeft drie Jehova's getuigen aangevallen met een mes bij een treinstation in het Duitse Würzburg. Volgens de politie raakten de drie mannen lichtgewond. Voorbijgangers, waaronder een politieagent in burgerkleding, wisten de dader te overmeesteren.
De verdachte benaderde de groep van Jehova's getuigen en maakte stekende bewegingen. Daarnaast zou hij twee mannen fysiek hebben aangevallen. De slachtoffers hebben geen steekwonden.
De Jehova's getuigen zijn een gesloten christelijke groep met een eigen interpretatie van de Bijbel. Aanhangers geloven dat het einde van de wereld nabij is en dat zij als uitverkoren gemeenschap zullen worden gered.
BRUSSEL (ANP) - De Europese Commissie vindt dat Hongarije het politieke besluit van de EU-leiders over de EU-lening voor Oekraïne moet respecteren. Alle EU-leiders zijn eind december akkoord gegaan met die lening ter waarde van 90 miljard euro, ook de Hongaarse premier Viktor Orbán, benadrukte de woordvoerder van de Commissie.
"We verwachten dat alle leiders hun verplichtingen nakomen. Het niet nakomen daarvan is duidelijk een schending van de loyaliteitsplicht", zei de woordvoerder.
De lidstaten hebben er op die top van december ook mee ingestemd dat de EU de 90 miljard euro op de kapitaalmarkt leent. De rentekosten worden gedekt door de EU-begroting. Tsjechië, Hongarije en Slowakije doen niet mee.
Orbán wil nu de lening blokkeren, omdat Hongarije geen Russische olie krijgt uit de beschadigde Droezjba-pijpleiding. Volgens Hongarije weigert Oekraïne de olieleveringen op gang te brengen. De woordvoerder van de Commissie zei dat de pijpleiding is geraakt door een Russische aanval.
