The fictionalised drama details the relationship between John F Kennedy Jr, then the world’s most eligible bachelor, and the fashion publicist Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, tracing their courtship and marriage, which was lived out under the scrutiny of the press.

“This is fashion murder,” wrote one user underneath a picture of Sarah Pidgeon, who plays Bessette Kennedy, and Paul Anthony Kelly, who depicts Kennedy Jr. Such was the outrage that the executive producer Ryan Murphy was forced to defend the styling as “a work in progress”, which led to him hiring a new costume designer, Rudy Mance, to focus on the historical precision. Nine months later, the internet has done a U-turn, with fans now rushing to emulate the couple’s on-screen and off-screen 90s looks. AMSTERDAM (ANP) - Een 38-jarige Amsterdammer is vorige week woensdag aangehouden voor zeer gewelddadige woningovervallen, waaronder in Noord-Scharwoude waarbij een bewoner in zijn borst is geschoten. Die overval in juli 2021 maakte deel uit van een reeks overvallen in Noord-Holland waarvoor meerdere mensen al tot lange celstraffen zijn veroordeeld.

Het slachtoffer overleefde de schotwond ternauwernood. De nu aangehouden Amsterdammer wordt ook verdacht van woningovervallen in 2020 en 2021 in De Goorn, Avenhorn en het Gelderse Dreumel.

In De Goorn werd een ouder echtpaar in een boerderij ernstig mishandeld en is er vlak langs een oor van een van de slachtoffers geschoten. In Avenhorn is een bewoner in haar nek geschoten. In Dreumel werden een auto, veel geld en sieraden gestolen.

De politie vond in de woning van de verdachte een vuurwapen, meerdere telefoons, geld en horloges die vermoedelijk gestolen zijn.

KOPENHAGEN (ANP) - De grote rederij Maersk vervoert voorlopig nog amper goederen vanuit en naar de Golfstaten. Alleen voor kritieke voedingsmiddelen, medicijnen en andere "essentiële goederen" maakt het Deense vervoersconcern een uitzondering. Door de oorlog in Iran en regio zijn de risico's te groot geworden.

Maersk accepteert daarom tot nader order geen reserveringen meer voor goederenvervoer van en naar havens in de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten, Irak, Qatar, Koeweit en Bahrein. De maatregel geldt ook voor alle havens in Oman behalve die van Salalah en de Saudische kuststeden Jubail en Dammam.

De rederij zegt ook geen "gevaarlijke vracht" te accepteren uit Israël.
