DEN HAAG (ANP) - Een groep Nederlanders die in Oman was gestrand, reist maandag door naar Schiphol vanaf de luchthaven van Hurghada in Egypte. Het gaat om de Nederlanders die eerst in de Omaanse hoofdstad Muscat worden opgehaald met een militair vliegtuig van Defensie. Zij worden door Defensie naar Hurghada gebracht en vliegen vanaf daar door naar Amsterdam, meldt het ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken.

De extra vluchten uit Egypte worden uitgevoerd door Transavia en TUI.

MIAMI (ANP) - De honkballers van het Nederlandse Koninkrijksteam hebben niet kunnen stunten tegen de Dominicaanse Republiek op de World Baseball Classic (WBC). De ploeg van bondscoach Andruw Jones verloor in een met zo'n 35.000 toeschouwers bijna uitverkocht stadion van Miami Marlins in zeven innings kansloos van een van de kandidaten voor de eindzege van het officieuze WK: 12-1. Oranje is daardoor nagenoeg kansloos voor een plek in de kwartfinale.

De halvefinalist van 2013 en 2017 heeft nog een verwaarloosbare kans op een ticket voor de kwartfinale. Daarvoor moet het sterrenensemble van de Dominicaanse Republiek twee keer verliezen. Bovendien zou Israël ook nog tweemaal moeten winnen maar dinsdag weer van Nederland moeten verliezen. En zelfs dan nog heeft het Koninkrijksteam zeer waarschijnlijk te weinig runs gescoord.

Approved partners assess current versions and dependencies, manage phased upgrades to supported LTS releases, and offer temporary security support when immediate upgrades are not possible... Partners are surfaced exactly where users go when upgrades become unavoidable, including the Node.js website, documentation, and end of life guidance.

The program follows the existing OpenJS Ecosystem Sustainability Program revenue model, with partners retaining 85% of revenue and 15% supporting OpenJS and Node.js through Open Collective and foundation operations. OpenJS provides the guardrails, alignment, and oversight to keep the program credible and connected to the project. We're pleased to welcome NodeSource as the inaugural partner in the Node.js LTS Upgrade and Modernization program.

Thick black smoke was still rising in the sky, soot covered the streets and cars, balconies filled with black gunk, and the toxic air had filled the lungs as Tehran woke up after a night of airstrikes on the city’s oil depots on Sunday.

In messages and voice notes sent to the Guardian, people described the situation in their homes and on the streets, some calling it “apocalyptic”. With the sun blotted out, disoriented people in Iran’s capital had to turn on their lights to see through the gloom.

De ingrijpende geopolitieke ontwikkelingen van de laatste jaren maken een herijking van de bestaande veiligheidsstructuren noodzakelijk, zeker voor Europa, dat zich decennialang veilig kon wanen onder de bescherming van de Amerikanen.

Circa 15.000 mensen liepen zondag in het centrum van Amsterdam mee in de jaarlijkse Feminist March ter gelegenheid van Internationale Vrouwendag. Voor een veelheid aan onderwerpen werd aandacht gevraagd.
