Continue reading...DEN HAAG (ANP) - De politie heeft een man aangehouden voor een bijna vijf jaar oude verkrachting in Den Haag, waarvan een toen 76-jarige vrouw in haar eigen woning slachtoffer werd. De verdachte is een 46-jarige man uit Den Haag, meldt de politie.
De verdachte kon worden aangehouden door nieuw onderzoek. Hij moet vrijdag voor de onderzoeksrechter verschijnen.
De verkrachting was in de zomer van 2021. De vrouw werd 's nachts wakker toen een man plotseling in haar slaapkamer stond. Ze werd door hem bedreigd en verkracht.
Het onderzoek daarna leverde geen verdachte op, ook omdat de DNA-sporen geen match opleverden.
I’d vaguely remembered that Hulu was adapting The Testaments, Margaret Atwood’s follow-up to The Handmaid’s Tale, as a sequel to the TV series of the same name, but I was surprised to find out that the show has premiered and is already three episodes in (a fourth will be available today).
The initial series lost its way after 2-3 seasons, but I still ended up watching the whole thing. I’ll probably give The Testaments a shot as well.
