DEN HAAG (ANP) - Coalitiepartijen D66, CDA en VVD willen bedrijven tegemoetkomen in de kosten voor elektriciteit. Geld dat daarvoor is klaargezet in het coalitieakkoord voor 2028, wil de minderheidscoalitie eerder uitgeven, zeggen de partijen donderdag in een debat over de verduurzaming van de industrie.

Voor 2028 staat er 345 miljoen euro klaar voor bedrijven die willen verduurzamen, maar te maken krijgen met dure stroom. "Gezien de huidige geopolitieke situatie en de gevolgen daarvan voor de industrie" oppert CDA-Kamerlid Henk Jumelet om dat geld eerder beschikbaar te stellen. VVD en D66 sloten zich bij zijn woorden aan.

Wanneer dat geld beschikbaar moet komen, laten de partijen aan klimaatminister Stientje van Veldhoven (D66).

DEN HAAG (ANP) - De effecten van hogere brandstofprijzen door de Iranoorlog voor huishoudens met lagere inkomens kunnen sterk verschillen. Daarvoor waarschuwt het Centraal Planbureau (CPB) in een nieuw rapport over de economische gevolgen van het conflict. In doorsnee lijken de gevolgen beperkt, maar in bepaalde scenario's kunnen grootverbruikers van de auto in deze inkomensgroep dit jaar 1000 euro duurder uit zijn.

Het CPB onderzocht de mogelijke economische gevolgen van de Iranoorlog aan de hand van drie scenario's. Daarbij nam het planbureau verwachtingen op de olie- en gasmarkten als uitgangspunt, plus twee scenario's waarbij de energieprijzen tijdelijk of voor langere tijd hoger zijn.

In het scenario met de marktverwachtingen stijgen de brandstofkosten voor huishoudens met lagere inkomens in het bezit van een auto in doorsnee met 200 euro in 2026. Als de olieprijzen tijdelijk of voor een langere periode hoger liggen, kan dat oplopen tot respectievelijk 300 en 325 euro.

Maar de huishoudens uit deze groep die veel kilometers maken met de auto kunnen de brandstofkosten dit jaar met 700 euro zien oplopen als de olieprijzen zich ontwikkelen volgens de marktverwachtingen. Dat kan oplopen tot ruim 1000 euro in de scenario's als de energieprijzen tijdelijk of voor een langere periode hoger blijven. Daarnaast is er een "aanzienlijke groep kleingebruikers, van wie de lasten mogelijk met slechts 1 tot 2 euro per maand" zullen stijgen.

Het is volgens de PVV ook ‘teleurstellend’ dat andere partijen de wetten serieus nemen. ‘‘Wij wilden alleen het vuurtje oppoken en onszelf mooi profileren. Het is erg kinderachtig om ons dan vervolgens daadwerkelijk verantwoordelijk te houden voor die wetten.’’

“Er zou een strafbaarstelling moeten komen voor politieke partijen die zich inzetten voor wetgeving,” zegt Wilders. Op de vraag wat hij daar precies mee bedoelt, loopt Wilders resoluut weg.
