Bottom of the Hill, instead of closing at the end of the year, have found a buyer who say they intend to keep it going in kind! This is fantastic.
Congratulations to Kathleen, Ramona, and Lynn for having found a successor whom they trust to keep their decades-long legacy alive. Losing Bottom of the Hill would have been a tragic blow to our city, and I wish the new team the best of luck.

I’m having lunch with my agent – an infrequent occurrence, because neither of us ever has any good news for the other. This lunch is no different.
“Sorry to make you come all this way,” she says, “but I had to be near the office today.” She hints at some complex contractual negotiations involving an author for whom, I suspect, she always has good news.
