Ze zitten overal waar u ook weleens zit. In uw neus en in uw oor, in uw muren en in uw glasvezelkabels. De AIVD en MIVD hebben tot hun grote plezier toegang tot allerlei vormen van BULKDATA die bulken van uw gevoelige persoonsgegevens (namen, adressen, maar kunnen ook dingen zijn als huidskleur en, vermoedelijk, penislengte, red.). Je verwacht het niet, maar met die gevoelige gegevens wordt dus vaak nogal ongevoelig omgegaan. Dat schrijft het immer uitgeklede CTIVD in een onderzoeksrapport. Het is dus best wel een zooitje allemaal. In de hele bulkdata-keten van de geheime diensten zitten 'verhoogde risico's op onrechtmatigheden en onzorgvuldigheden': in het 'technisch voortraject' worden mapjes met bulkgegevens te lang bewaard, krijgen mapjes met bulkgegevens ten onrechte niet het stempel 'bulkgegevens' waardoor de regels voor bulkgegevens worden omzeild, juist de mapjes die na het voortraject het stempel 'strikt beperkte toegang' krijgen zijn zo lek als een mandje, de diensten houden niet goed bij wie wanneer welke dataset heeft ingezien en zelfs met de krankzinnig grote sleepnetten die de afluisterboys mogen gebruiken vinden ze nog manieren om buiten het boekje te gaan. Dat laatste gebeurt bijvoorbeeld door bulkdata niet alleen te vergaren om Russen en IS'ers op te sporen, maar ook om aan hun eigen 'modellen en applicaties' te voeren. Daarover staat helemaal niets in de wet, dus treken AIVD en MIVD zich lekker niets aan van regels omtrent periodieke beoordelingen, bewaartermijnen en wie toegang tot de data heeft. Periodiek beoordelen of mapjes met gegevens die wél rechtmatig zijn vergaard door de versnipperaar kunnen gebeurt nogal eens te laat, waardoor het hele periodieke ervan dus wegvalt. Als bulkgegevens eindelijk worden vernietigd, blijft de RUWE DATA ervan nog 'disproportioneel lang bewaard'. Het aftappen van kabels (praktisch zinloos btw) voor specifieke onderzoeksopdrachten is in het rapport trouwens niet eens meegenomen, want daarvoor gelden nog weer andere regels om lekker aan de laars te lappen. Kortom, ze mogen onderhand alles maar doen meer, ze moeten ook een paar dingen maar doen dat dan weer niet. Wel allemaal voor uw veiligheid, hè!! Dat wel!!

I dabbled in barbecue for years before I got my first proper grill with a lid and vents. It was a gamechanger; I could control the airflow (to make it hotter or cooler), and the lid transformed the grill into a sort-of oven, enabling slower cooks (rather than only fast grilling). No longer was I starting chicken in my indoor oven before finishing it over the coals – I could do the whole thing outside.

I found myself lighting the grill more and more, seeking that flavour that only comes with fire and smoke, but also relishing the fact it took me outside. Nowadays, I cook everything over fire, from fish and shellfish to vegetables, beans, meat, even desserts. Fire cooking feels both instinctive and exciting because no two cooks are ever the same. People tell me they find barbecuing scary, and I understand because I once felt like this, too. But with a few basic tips, such as “zoning” your barbecue, anyone can become a pro. I truly believe that by starting to barbecue we’re not learning a skill, but re-learning something we’ve forgotten.

UTRECHT (ANP) - ProRail heeft de oorzaak gevonden van een brand in een kabelgoot die al dagen het treinverkeer van Rotterdam richting het zuiden lamlegt. De voedingskabel van de bovenleiding heeft in een knik gezeten en daardoor is kortsluiting ontstaan, en vervolgens brand, meldt de spoorbeheerder.

Het duurt nog zeker tot zaterdag voordat de stroomstoring is verholpen. Het herstel neemt langer in beslag dan gedacht, omdat de kapotte kabels moeten worden geïnventariseerd en hersteld. Meerdere aannemers zijn aan de slag met de beschadigde kabels. De kabelgoot ligt in de buurt van station Rotterdam Stadion.
