Two women and two men arrested on suspicion of murder after death of three-month-old girl near Great Wyrley
Four people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a three-month-old girl died in Staffordshire while camping with her family.
Officers said they were made aware of the death on Saturday at 8.45am after being called by paramedics from the West Midlands ambulance service, who were responding to a report of a child in cardiac arrest. An air ambulance was also sent but the child was pronounced dead at the scene.

Inter lost four out of six games against Napoli, Milan and Juventus. Their only win, at home to the Bianconeri, came after Alessandro Bastoni deceived a referee to get Pierre Kalulu sent off.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was already the best player on the pitch when he ran through to score Deportivo A Coruña’s winner on Saturday night. It was certainly not Ilias Akhomach, the Villarreal substitute whose pass on halfway had inadvertently played Aubameyang through, nor Sergi Cardona, the unassuming intended target of that pass. After 89 minutes and two assists, the 37-year-old Aubameyang raced the length of the half to slot past Luiz Júnior to make it 3-2.
It had been a similar case the week before, when Aubameyang’s pace again left the Valencia defenders behind before he dinked the ball over the goalkeeper. The week before that, he calmly rounded Málaga’s Alfonso Herrero before opening the scoring. The week before that, the former Barcelona striker marked his return to La Liga against Elche with a superb touch and finish from Lorenzo Amatucci’s diagonal pass. Scoring in each of his first four games for Deportivo is a club record, eclipsing Bebeto’s fast start of three in a row from 1992.

Whether she was marching her children to buy school shoes the night before term started (“Don’t be closed. Pleeeeeaaaaase don’t be closed”) or having a meltdown at temporary traffic lights en route to a school drop-off that proved redundant because she’d forgotten it was half-term, Maxwell Martin’s Julia would undoubtedly have a more chilled-out time in the kitchen of The Bear than raising her kids.
Continue reading...MAGDEBURG (ANP/DPA) - De verkiezingen in de Duitse deelstaat Saksen-Anhalt werden gekenmerkt door een "enorme" hoeveelheid desinformatie, stellen waarnemers van Plattform Wahlen, een non-profitorganisatie die verkiezingen monitort. Zowel vanuit binnen- als buitenland zouden er campagnes zijn opgezet om nepnieuws te verspreiden voor de verkiezingen, die eindigden in een grote overwinning voor de rechts-radicale Alternative für Deutschland (AfD).
Volgens Stefanie Schiffer, oprichter van Plattform Wahlen, zijn meerdere pogingen tot beïnvloeding toe te schrijven aan Russische propagandanetwerken. Die zouden met name geprobeerd hebben om kandidaten van de CDU, SPD, FDP en Die Linke zwart te maken. Alleen kandidaten van AfD en het links-populistische BSW waren geen doelwit van die campagnes. AfD en BSW zijn beide voorstander van een herstel van de banden met Rusland en zijn tegen sancties voor de Russen.
Op de verkiezingsdag zelf heeft Plattform Wahlen ook stembureaus gecontroleerd, maar heeft daarbij geen noemenswaardige incidenten geconstateerd.
Anis Hadj Moussa heeft maandagochtend gewoon meegetraind met Feyenoord en reist dinsdag met de rest van de selectie af naar Barcelona voor het uitduel in de Champions League. De club en de aanvaller willen daarmee een streep zetten onder de transfersoap van de afgelopen week.
