Another heatwave is on the way across parts of the UK with peak temperatures of 34C forecast.

Donald Trump on Friday issued pardons to 11 men – two convicted fraudsters and nine charged with having violated the federal Clean Air Act by disabling or otherwise modifying trucks’ emissions controls.
Those executive pardons – coming amid US semiquincentennial celebrations blanketed in extreme heat exacerbated by greenhouse gas emissions – were among a broader wave of acts of clemency from Trump during his second presidency, chiefly for those he considers to be aligned with him.

Hee kijk, een dubbele huurmoordenaar. Of eigenlijk een dubbele dubbele huurmoordenaar, waarmee we iemand bedoelen die eerst wordt ingehuurd om twee mensen te vermoorden in Turkije en vervolgens naar Nederland reist om hier eventueel mee te dingen voor een huurwoning. De politie heeft de voortvluchtige Syriër Muhammed Mamo opgepakt, die in Turkije verdacht wordt van een paar bloederige liquidaties in badplaats Bodrum. Die moorden heeft hij twee jaar geleden samen met 4 anderen (één van hen hierboven afgebeeld) gepleegd, waarna al snel rondzong dat Mamo in Nederland zou zitten maar desondanks kon hij daar blijven zitten tot hij afgelopen april werd opgepakt. Mamo zou in Groningen zijn opgepakt, maar het OM wil niet zeggen waar hij precies zat, laat staan waarom daar er zolang kon zitten. De rechter moet nog besluiten of deze vrolijke Syrische jongen mag oprotten naar Turkije of Syrië. Was gezellig. Waar op de Schaal van Sargentini valt deze casus eigenlijk precies?
